ECC34OE was born at Cowley on the 13th of April 1967 and dispatched on the 14th to AUTOMOBILE PALACE LTD  LLANFAIR ANGLESEY. (which is now a Kwiksave supermarket)

The registration number ECC340E was issued at Caernarvon on the 1st May 1967

The first owner was an elderly gentleman who who lived in the North Wales town of Llanfairefechan.  I have not been able to trace him but I believe that he lived in a big house by the sea.

I went to the North Wales rally in 1999 when a lady and gentleman were looking at the car and started to cry.  I asked them what was the matter and they told me that it was their dad's car.  Just at that moment I was called to the presentation of trophies and when I returned they had gone!

The car was sold when it was 18 months old and in pristine condition with very low mileage to Emrys Williams who lived in the village of Llysfaen near Colwyn Bay.  He later gave the car to his son Bryan Williams who sold it to his school friend Tudor Evans in September 1977 who brought the car to the Potteries when he became a lecturer at Stoke College. The present owner bought the car of him for £300.00 on the 29th August 1991.

Complete restoration followed as a retirement hobby which cost over £5,000.00 and took six years to complete.  All the work with the exception of the re-spray was undertaken in a 16ft by 8ft garage by Deryck Swindells and Peter Jones who drove it from John 'O Groats to Lands End twice for charity.  We completed the trip in the time of 18 hours 28 minutes..
